About the university

The South Ural State Humanitarian and Pedagogical University occupies an important place in the system of higher education in Chelyabinsk. This university has a long history and is considered one of the oldest pedagogical educational institutions in the Urals region.
The university was founded in 1934 and initially focused on training teachers for schools. Over the years, the educational institution has broadened its focus and now offers a rich program in various pedagogical and humanities specialties. College
The College is the youngest but actively developing unit of the University. It was opened in September 2013 on the basis of the Faculty of Training of Primary School Teachers. On April 1, 2016 the college was recognized as a separate structural subdivision of the university. More than a hundred children become its students every year. Most of them, after graduating from the college, receive higher education at various faculties.

Educational classes are held in 7 buildings, most of them are concentrated in the very center of the city, in Alom Pole, at 69 Lenina Avenue. The Faculty of Science and Technology and the Professional and Pedagogical Institute are located in a separate campus on Bazhov Street.
In each of the buildings there are canteens and buffets, coffee machines are installed. A large selection of fresh salads, soups and second courses, pastries and desserts is presented daily.
